With Intel s latest processor Alder Lake upstream some games up to date. Guilt is the software Denude, which should not come clearly with the new processor. Mango explains what it s about.
That s why: Since November 4, 2021, you can acquire Intel s newest processor series, Alder Lake, in the trade. Meanwhile, the first tests are online. So our colleagues had been able to test the Core i9 12900K in detail of the Gamester.

With the Core i9 12900K Intel delivers one of the fastest processors for desktop PCs and can position itself strongly compared to AMD s dominance on the processor market.
But with every release there are often mistakes and problems and Intel s Alder Lake is not spared away. In the meantime, Intel itself has confirmed that several games with the new CPU crash. The reason behind it is actually a special feature of Alder Lake.
New architecture of Alder Lake causes problems with games
What is especially at Alder Lake? Intel sets a new architecture in its new Alder-Lake processors. Because the processors consist of two types of computing cores:
Efficiency cores are used if you are on the way on the desktop or uses unparalleled applications. The performance cores will be active as soon as you restart games that require proper performance.
But exactly these different cores provide some games for crashes. Debt is a copy protection or antis tamper software that does not cope with Alder Lake.
What is Denude? Denude is an anti-tamper software and should prevent protected data from being changed. Among other things, the actual copy protection should be protected from being cracked. Under Gamer, there is the discussion to what extent Denude affects the performance of the system.
That s behind the crashes: DENUDE s DRM software falsely assumes that the different cores are different computers. As soon as Denude realizes that the game uses different, the game will be forcibly switched off, because Denude believes that two computers use the same license key. A trick and future update should provide for improvement
You can do that against the crashes: Meanwhile, there are already tricks that you can deal with the problems if you already have an Alder-Lake CPU.
On the one hand, you can activate the Legacy Game Mode in the BIOS. This will switch off the efficiency cores. So you prevent that different cores will be active in the game. But this is not a permanent solution, because so you have to do without performance. For some motherboards, the Legacy Game Mode is only available with a new BIOS update. For some users, it should help if you upgrade the operating system from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Some games do not currently work on Windows 10 with Alder Lake. Intel had already explained that you want to solve some problems with the future Windows update in mid-November. If you do not feel like such places, then waiting for the next Windows update.
In addition to new processors, Intel has already presented its new high-end graphics cards under the brand name ARC : the company wants to publish its new graphics cards in the spring of 2022 and has introduced a comprehensive release plan for the coming years.
These games do not work with Intel s latest processor
In the meantime Intel has published an official list, which games at the current date (as of 6 November 2021) do not work (via Intel.com). We introduce you to the list at this point. Should something change, we will update the list for you.
